Good day!

Republic Act 9163 effective year 2001 provided the guidelines for the community projects that students of NSTP-CWTS (Immersion Activities) should undertake as required and in accordance to the policy of the National Service Reserved Corps (NSRC).

Pursuant to the said Republic Act, the University allows PUP students to discuss with you the proposed project cooperation with the campus, specifically services such as:

1. Cleaning of surroundings at the PUP Linear Park
2. Planting trees at the PUP Linear Park and Lagoon
3. Cleaning of surroundings at the PUP lagoon

Attached to this letter is the official list of students who are allowed to participate in the said services.

PROJECT PROPOSAL

Tree Planting

PUP-Manila Mabini Campus Linear Park and Lagoon

V. Justification:

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines is one of the country's highly competent educational institutions. The first polytechnic university in the Philippines, formerly known as Manila Business School, provides quality education to students for more than a century. PUP sets standards and agendas that are keys to improve the campus and one of these standards is to have a healthy and clean environment that is why we propose to further impose these standards through an organized student movement.
VI. Objectives:

The objective is to plant 12 trees in specific place in PUP Main Campus;
To help in enhancing the PUP Main Campus into more pleasant and cleaner school;
To disseminate information regarding tree-planting;
To make others become aware of the importance of our environment and natural resources;
And to create a sense of ecological responsibility and self-discipline.

VII. Expected Output:

12 trees will be planted
Cleaner Linear Park and Lagoon
