Introduction
The company’s current state is exceptional. The company has been running for little under two years and already has become a twenty-five million dollar business. Although many of the features of the company are still underdeveloped, there are many opportunities that are forecasted for the growth and success of the company. Currently, the company houses a smaller scale limited information technology infrastructure that has been successfully maintaining the companies technology base. The goals for the company are to expand from one floor to three floors tripling in size. The company has had a significant amount of success and is foreseen to continually grow. Nonetheless, with growth comes redesigning the company to better fit its needs. Company Background

The current infrastructure of the company will not support the companies growing needs. The type of work that the company is engaged in is data collection and analytics using web based operating systems. The data that is collected can be from various sources which depicts the types of programs and software that needs to be analyzed from the type of data collected. Data collection varies by entering narratives and other information into a database system (Rabinowitz & Fawcett, 2013). Also, mathematical or other quantitative information is used for data analysis using specialized programs. Our company is useful because with the data that is collected much of the information needs to be transcribed, coded, and organized. That is beneficial because in conjunction with our IT department, the company is better able to find new ways to collect, store, and organize data using current technologies in a time and cost-effective manner (Rabinowitz & Fawcett, 2013). The company analyzes data using different relationships, patterns, and trends of the information collected (Rabinowitz & Fawcett, 2013). There are numerous ways that the data is analyzed using these tasks and utilizing statistical operations and other beneficial software (Rabinowitz & Fawcett, 2013). The company utilizes both qualitative and quantitative data in their analysis. Data Collection and Analysis

Offshoring and Outsourcing Activities
It is important in understanding data collection and analysis in the company because there are many activities that are being offshored. For instance, there is a current study conducted by Massachusetts Institute of Technology on off shoring of data in the US is flawed (Leopold, 2006). This is important because the data that has been gathered shows that the offshoring of activities by the United States has little to no impact on jobs in the US but there are unanswered questions with the research (Leopold, 2006). The studies conducted by MIT show that specific industries will have a significant growth in jobs and the offshoring will have a great impact on employment in the US (Leopold, 2006). The problem that is identified is the ineffective use of data collection by the US (Leopold, 2006). This company is extremely important because beneficial data is needed to ensure the growth of the employment in the US is accurately depicted (Leopold, 2006). Information Technology Specialists

In addition to accurate results obtained from data collection and analysis, it is important that the right type of information technology personnel is on staff to ensure the smooth functioning of the business. Currently, the company has only four information technology personnel. This is beneficial for the moment because the company has not yet expanded. Nonetheless, an increase in the growth of the company will require more specialized employees. For instance, the company will need to have system analysts, programmers, database administrators, project leads, system administrators, IT managers, network administrators, and help desk technicians (Norton, 2011). These specialized jobs provide the...
