c. Cash Investment – Initially $35 Million dollar estimate. The company that was worth $5 Billion was eventually sold for $80 Million. Sued SAP and the consulting company for $500 Million each.
d. Stage of Failure – The project failed in production. It was only implemented in ¼ of the place that was initially intended. The system was slower than the one it replaced. SAP was processing 10,000 orders nightly while the old system was processing 420,000.

d. Stage of Failure – This project has not failed in the traditional sense. It is still being used today. But with an original taxpayer cost of $2 Million and an actual cost exceeding $1 Billion it cannot be called a success.
e. Reason for Failure – The project is expected to have failed to and expanding project scope. There were more than a thousand change orders from groups such as gun lobby’s and other special interest in the first two years of the project. All of this extra work was not part of the original contract and added to the bill.
