I believe my most important indicators of professionalism I posses are arriving early to work to prepare materials and ensuring that everything is in place for student’s arrival. I collaborate with my peer in planning of most skills using a daily routine. We discuss students’ goals and achievements and I make recommendations for future interventions. In my opinion, my ability to reach each learner brings about desired outcomes of student engagement. I have a high sense of efficacy and a passion for teaching. Therefore, I am constantly searching for best practices to implement in my classroom. Professionalism in the context of being a student in a doctor of physical therapy program contains promptness, time management, consistency and a great attitude. There is a famous quote by Alistair Cooke that reads "A professional is someone who can do his best work when he doesn't feel like it." I agree with that quote because over the span of a 2-3 year doctorate program life will change and difficult circumstances can present themselves to our lives. A true professional can still remain consistent in the midst of life's challenges and perform at a high level regardless of feelings. Not only will the true professional remain consistent, he or she will be prompt and show up daily with a great attitude.…

Throughout my experiences in various physical therapy settings, I was fortunate enough to observe therapists who have not only served as my role models, but have also taught me what professionalism really means. While I observed various displays of professionalism in different physical therapy…
