My Qualification
My Qualifications was I received a Master’s of Science Degree in Professional Counseling, on May 30, 2014. The area of study was Professional Counseling, at Grand Canyon University. The Certifications that is relevant are CPR, AED, and First-Aid; CPR which deals with Infant, Child, and Adult. The years of experience in counseling are 2 years, one year as an Internship Counselor and one year as a volunteer counselor. At this time, there is no license or registrations that exist.
Restricted Licensure At this time I am applying for licensure as a Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) in North Carolina. When I am accepted as an Associate Counselor in North Carolina, I will be under supervision as a Professional Counselor Associate. …show more content…
In the population they had other disorders that were causing them to struggle with activities of daily living and some social disorders. Poverty was a significant struggle for this particular population. The clientele needed individualized counseling and skill training, ongoing assessments and treatment needs, assisting with improving coping skills, problem-solving and communication. The second population lived in a transitional home for the homeless veterans were no fees were charged to the resident, it was a nonprofit organization. Veterans of the transitional homeless shelter were allowed to stay two years in the program. The third population received money by the courts, state funded programs, and probations also paid $35.00 for group session each week, usually lasting 8 to 10 weeks and cash or checks were accepted. Billing issues with insurance were handled by a different department within the organization. No sliding fees were in existence that I was aware of during the internship with worked at the company.
Use of Diagnosis
Most health insurance companies will repay clients for therapy services and others will not. In addition, the majority had a diagnosis of a mental-health disorder and were required it to meet the criteria’s of a mental “illness” before they will agree to refer an client. There are some conditions for which client seeking assistant that does not qualify them for services. If a qualifying diagnosis is exposed in your case, I will inform you immediately before submitting the diagnosis to the health insurance company. In addition, any diagnosis discovered will become a part of your permanent insurance records.
