The levels of distribution rely on the product or service that is being provided to the end user. There are a couple of methods of distribution and choosing the right method is critical for the outcome of the company. The channel marketing decisions on the Coca-Cola products will open a string of markets. As they focus on the age group of young teenagers to older adults, this will the key decision as this group is the upcoming technological group of our time. By using the pull promotional concept the Coca-Cola product will be displayed and can be sampled to prove how the purchasers will get their dollars worth.
The distribution channel for Coca-Cola will be used two ways; first the product will be available through the Coca-Cola website to be purchased directly from the manufacturer’s preferred distribution company. The Coca-Cola website will offer a free online video to help the “Share a Coke” fans learn how to create the fantasy new label for their bottles. The product will be delivered by FedEx Express within 7-10 business days with a two day handling allotment. By using Fed Ex we will guarantee the fastest and safest delivery.
The second Channel will be through retailers such as, Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger’s, Publix’s, Sam’s Club and other beverage retailers. There will be a Coke vendor at every major retail location where there is a “Share a Coke” being sold that can offer sample product of how to customize their bottles to suit their needs. The price for the distribution channels discussed will be minimal. By working with the customers equally, they can continue to create mutual benefits. Coca-Cola will also continue to create additional value to their customers by foreseeing their demands and interests, and to constantly deliver feasible solutions for their organization (The Coca-Cola Company, 2014).
