A proctor is an appointed official of the school or university authority who is assigned with the task of enforcing strict academic integrity of students during tests and/or examinations, which includes monitoring to prevent cheating, enforcing guidelines to promote discipline etc, in accordance to the established regulations of the academic institution. Proctoring refers to the act of carrying out these tasks as described above. In order to register my chosen proctor with the university, during the online registration of a course that requires a proctor, on the “add a course” page of the Enrollment tab for course registration in the student portal, I will click on “add a proctor” link and enter the following information: full name, email address, phone number, residence country and occupation.
