Explain the reasons Remington’s selected a survey research design to gather patron data.
Examine the research objectives in the project carefully and create a research question from each objective. Assignment Instructions here
Remington chose a survey research design to gather patron data as it is one of the least expensive and time intensive ways to collect data. It allows for anonymity and gives the participant the ability to answer the questions truthfully. Survey research is used to assess thoughts, feelings, and opinions. With the predetermined questions it allows for a representation of a larger sampling size.
Research Objectives on Research Process
Explain Remington’s choice to use a Survey Research Design rather than a Secondary Data Design and an Observation Design.

Explain the type of data Remington’s collected in the Performance Perceptions section of the survey, and explain if and why it was better than the other choices of nominal, ordinal, and ratio data.

Evaluate Remington’s question construction, including question content, question wording, and response strategy.

When the questions are not specific it would give feedback that is not what key decision makers are seeking. The wording of the questions is equally adequate for the responses needed; but, they could be more designed to yield desired results. This method could motivates users to not only complete the survey, but also provide honest and reliable feedback.…

Standard deviation is the square root of the variance (Gravetter & Wallnau, 2013). It uses the mean of the distribution as a reference point and measures variability by considering the distance of each score from the mean. It is important to know the standard deviation for a given sample because it gives a measure of the standard, or average, range from the mean, and specifies if the scores are grouped closely around the mean or are widely scattered (Gravetter & Wallnau, 2013). The standard deviation provides researchers with information on the score standardization about the mean. This is important because, in a normal distribution, scores are symmetrically distributed with the highest frequency at the midpoint, and lower occurrences spread…
