Pro’s and Con’s of Teenage Pregynancy

As the years pass by, there are so many problems that youth encounters this day. Based on our research, we will enumerate those problems. Like for example, drug addiction, alcohol abuse, bullying/cyber bullying, smoking, discriminations, and an active sex life which leads to teenage pregnancy and many more. Honestly speaking, who wants to be involved in this kind of problems? I know there’s none but here comes the temptation that we really need to fight. These are all part of the adolescent life and we know that we cannot avoid this kind of scenarios, it all depends on the person if he/she can battle it and overcome it. These problems may affect our future life and will surely mark our adolescent life and we can really regret it. Those problems are here as a challenge for us to become a mature person and a stronger person when we will face the real life in our adulthood. Some teenagers are not aware of this issue that's why they're not that educated when it comes to this topic. When we talk about premarital sex, for them it's just a normal doing. But no, for us, Christians pre-marital sex leads to sin. What is teenage pregnancy? According to the Wikipedia, Teenage pregnancy is pregnancy in human females under the age of 20 at the time that the pregnancy ends. A pregnancy can take place after the start of the puberty before first menstrual period, but usually occurs after the onset of periods. Based on the website of World Health Organization (WHO) we read four facts about teenage pregnancy. First, About 16 million girls aged 15 to 19 and some 1 million girls under 15 give birth every year—most in low- and middle-income countries. Second, Complications during pregnancy and childbirth are the second cause of death for 15-19 year-old girls globally. Third, Every year, some 3 million girls aged 15 to 19 undergo unsafe abortions. Lastly, Every year, some 3 million girls aged 15 to 19 undergo unsafe abortions. As we read these facts, it gets more horrifying and especially intriguing. It’s so confusing why some teenagers really need to do those kind of doing when they actually know what can be the consequences. Do you ever wonder why they are doing this kind of stuffs? For us, we think that it’s because the peer pressure, the things they watch, and of course curiosity. Why peer pressure? Because some friends teases their other friend that they’re not “in” or they’re not that tough to do things like that or it can also leads to “showing off”. Second, the things they watch. Why? Because they may think that it would be fun because based on what they see. In that case, they will think about trying it. Third, the most common reason of all, curiosity. Easily because as a teen you want to explore things and try new things. It’s normal but we should still know our limitations. We chose the teenage pregnancy to be the one that we will focus on. Why? Simply because teenage pregnancy is rampant in today’s generation. We also chose this because we can easily say our opinions to this because we’re teens. It’s not that easy to stop this issue but we will just figure out something that this teenage pregnancy is all about negativity. The rapid problem of teenage pregnancy is affecting not by just the person but the whole country can also feel the population growth. But when it comes to teenage pregnancy, it’s not all about con’s but in some part there can be a pro’s on it and we’re here to prove it. We’re not against teenage pregnancy nor in favor of this issue, we’re just in the middle.
