Today I am proud to present this “Teacher of the year” award to a hardworking individual. This year has been a long one. It is not easy teaching day in and day out but this teacher has made it look effortless. She is a great example a great mentor an immaculate teacher, and a firm administrator. Whenever someone phas a problem she is always there to talk. She gives great advice to students in need. She is an intellectual individual. Many times students have told me that she has helped them so much. Her method to becoming a better person has helped so many. Her teaching skills are out of this world. She believes that every child has potential in them. She has dedicated herself to her job and her students. She always says, “no child left behind”. No child should be unattended to. She is exactly what it means to be an excellent teacher. Josef Albers said, “Good teaching is more of giving of right questions than giving of right answers.” This teacher does exactly that she challenges her students rather than spoil them and give them the answers. This teacher does exactly that. She challenges her students rather than spoils them and give them the answers. This teacher is also a firm administrator. She can seem cool or like she is a push-over, but when it applies to the rules, she doesn’t play around. If you break the rules, she will get you. She does it only because she cares. This award is an honor, and it is given to show the appreciation that we have for hardworking teachers. The teacher who shows the most hard work, and dedication deserves all of the praise we give to him. I speak for everyone when I say this, you never gave up and for that we are grateful to call you our colleague and friend. We hope your journey of retirement is wonderful. We will miss you.

First of all, you were probably the funniest/most entertaining teacher I have ever had throughout my elementary and secondary education. I thoroughly enjoyed coming to your class. You made learning lots of fun. Your students became apart of your lectures so many times it was like we was living the history you were teaching. You have a lot of passion for your job, teaching us and personally made me want to give the same amount of effort…

It is a pleasure to nominate Dave Giles for the "Most Outstanding Person" award. He is a former alumni of Carl Sandburg College. My first impression of Dave came in 2012 when he gave hands-down the best speech on the importance of education that I had ever heard. He truly enjoys spending his time helping the community's youth. He has also continued to live up to that impression of being a passionate man who is optimistic, supporting, and is as committed to children as he is to bettering our society.…

In terms of academics, Ms. Biszewski pushed us to challenge ourselves. She always had the next step in mind. For example, she made sure we were well prepared for high school and provided us with all the tools necessary to get there. In math, we were only two chapters behind one of the area high school math courses. She incorporated the new Common Core curriculum and made sure, although really confusing and different from what we knew and how we were taught previously, we understood the concepts. When I got to Marist, Algebra was pretty easy for me because she did such a great job getting me ready.…

Finally, her level of professionalism is magnificent. I find it extra impressive because she has a lot of academic problems to discuss and yet she is very careful not to cross that line. She says out loud what she is aloud to say, and keeps to herself of keeps to private conversation with the student what needs to be kept to a private conversation. That is where her leadership and collaboration come into play as well.…

You're one of my favorite teachers I've ever had. English and writing played a part, but the way you taught and related to kids on their level was pretty awesome to watch. I thought it was funny how you'd go off subject at a moment's notice and I remember you even bringing up two of my favorite subjects in class - Punk Rock and graffiti. I was especially impressed by your broad-mindedness and unrelenting support for the underdog.…

She was such an inspiration to me because she loves being a teacher and she also loves watching kids grow. I have also learned that she is someone who is proud of your mistakes and she is even prouder of what you learn from them and who you become from your mistakes. She has been a person that has helped me in a lot of ways through the toughest of times in school and out of school. For example, when I found a…

What grade were you in? The teacher I choose to write about is a High School educator whose name is Mrs. Wright. I had her from my sophomore through my senior year. She was the resource teacher for these grades. I have test anxiety, have has it since I was a young child, and she could get me through without having a panic attack or having to go to the ladies room to puck. This woman was always there to support me while I work through the good and tough times in school no matter what it was. A kindhearted woman, that truly cared, no matter who you were, and what problem you may be facing. She always put a smile on your face and happiness in your heart. She always assisted me when I needed it or if I did not grasp something, she would make…

S in her classroom usually do help in creating an effective learning environment. However, not all of her techniques work for me. Circulating around the room during group work I think is an effective tool because she is being active in the students' learning and not sitting back watching the students while they work. Demanding respect and expecting a lot out of her students I think is a necessity to having an effective learning environment, but I don't care for the way she goes about this. She is a little too harsh towards the students, even though they should know the rules by now. I don't think that sending a misbehaving student will respond well to being sent to another classroom. I think that her tool for keeping one group of students quite while the other is doing something else in math is very effective. It allows her to keep the class in order and makes the student think on their own. Timing the students just by watching the clock also is not effective, because she is timing two different tests, with a minute between the two; unfortunately a lot of the time she loses track and the class usually gets longer than they should. I don't think that this will prepare them very well for future teachers or tests that are sticklers on…

    Teacher of Year Essay

    • 509 Words

First I want to tell you with whom I honor, with whom I have, learned to respect, and who deserve the outmost admirations. The teachers I am talking about work hard to do a great job, because, above all, it is a kind of responsibility so to speak towards their students and relevantly toward themselves. I have had several teachers in my years as a student both in the primary and secondary schools among which there were only few whom I felt to fit the description above, maybe most of them were good in their own way, but one cannot be sufficient in all ways or I may also have misunderstood them. However, the teacher that I chose as deserving of the “My Favorite Teacher” earned this title due to the care she showed to each of her students through her teaching, personality, and the all the fun had in her class is Ms. Fleming my writing teacher. Ms. Fleming is an open minded, caring person who seemed to love what she is doing. Ms. Fleming is more than a teacher to me; she is a person you could go to with a problem and she would try and help you find the answer. She would help you, but expected you to put the work into finding out for yourself how to do something. She always came across as someone who cared about every student as if they were her “children”. Ms. Fleming is like a book that gives you the right information that would help you on getting a six on the FCAT writing. About 95% of her student’s agree that Ms. Fleming spent each day preparing us for the FCAT writing in thirteen days. The first time I walked into the classroom I notice a flaming red headed teacher sitting down. I thought that she would be a boring, and mean teacher giving her student’s a lot of homework and essays to write. Every word that comes out of her mouth sounds like music to my brain. When it comes to teaching she doesn’t let out a lot of stress, most of the stress comes from whether or not her student’s would receive a four or higher on the FCAT writing. When I’m in class Ms. Fleming have…

An outstanding educator possesses unique qualities that set him or her apart from others in the field. Ask any student about a favorite teacher and listen intently as he or she describes that person with a smile. Ask a parent of a child who will enter first grade in the fall about the teacher choice for their child. The parent would describe the outstanding educator in their desire for that special teacher. The qualities of an outstanding educator are easily recognized by those whose lives they touch, shape, and change on a daily basis. It is in this writing piece that they will be described and discussed.…
