For the America and the World Presentation, our team has focused on dividing into sections to work individually. Each group member is responsible for providing APA formatted slides, efficient research, and credible sources to prepare their portion of the presentation. Jesse will be the team leader and format the presentation to ensure that we attain our goal of a powerful presentation that offers consistency throughout and a theme for which we all agreed to before beginning our independent work. Our personalities are sure to present the class with adequate information, readable content, and photographs to paint the picture to what our message will be. Additionally, team members are required to present Jesse with their finished product by the end of the day on Tuesday, June 17, 2011. The first section will represent an analysis of the causes of the Cold War and details of American Cold War policies and practices in international relations during the late 1940 's to the mid 1950 's. Michael has been assigned these slides. Michael has completed an outline of his slides and is working on completing the format for which the slides will be presented. The remaining portion of Michael 's slides will be completed before the end of the week and reviewed by other team members to ensure that the slides meet the standards for which our team expects. After the Cold War, Allen will present slides regarding the Vietnam War. Allen will explain how the United States got involved in the Vietnam War. In his slides, Allen will present a timeline of events that led to the inclusion to the war. Dates and specific situations that determined when and where the United States entered the war will be presented. In section three, Donna has the chore of comparing President Richard Nixon 's détente policies to similar policies previous to the Cold War. Donna requested this section due to her desire to research President Nixon beyond her current knowledge. In her slides, Donna will present policies that show what Nixon was trying to accomplish alongside the Russians to ensure a continued progress in easing the tension between the two world powers. Donna will have her slides finished by Sunday evening and turned in as she will be leaving town for work on Monday morning. Section four will allow Jesse to dress for success while explaining the political, military, and social outcomes of the United States during the end of the Vietnam War. Jesse 's slides will present him an opportunity to educate our class on how severe wars can be on an economy, government, and society as a whole. Wars today are very different from the Vietnam War . Deaths, money, and winning or losing have never been more important than during the Vietnam War and these slides will present an opportunity to compare the Vietnam War to the War on Terror as we know it. Shante is working on the fifth section of the presentation. Shante 's slides revolve around the International affairs of the 1980 's and how they contributed to the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe and the end of the Cold War. Shante has her research done and needs to put her work into the PowerPoint slides to turn in to Jesse so he can ensure that our slides all contain the same layout and theme throughout the presentation. To conclude, Donna will round up our America and the World presentation in typical Donna fashion with enthusiasm and a clear recital of what each of us presented individually. As a team, we hope that our presentation meets the standards required to get the best score possible.

The orthodox view of the Cold War elucidates its inevitability due to the great ideological differences that existed between the Soviet Union and United States. On the other hand, the revisionists argued that it happened due to the actions that Soviets took and the consequential responses made by the United States as a result of their inflexible, single-sided interpretations of Soviet action.
