Well, their goal is to get technology with an interface with sensors that also has data and memory storage and minimizes distractions to the user so that the user pays more attention to their surroundings while texting or emailing because the technology is easy to operate. Rolex is no different. Rolex started a campaign in 2002 called Mentor and Protege Arts. Rolex Mentor and Protege Arts works to encourage artistic individuals. It pairs a well known mentor in the art field with a young protege to encourage growth and creativity in their artistic discipline. This allows for young people who would otherwise be discouraged to share their ideas, to formulate their ideas with professionals and work to improve themselves. Rolex also has awards they call The Rolex Awards which were created to recognize people who are creating solutions to the world’s problems. This gives rolex the opportunity to both give and receive recognition for solutions to problems that many people face. Finally, Rolex has partnered with many organizations from sports, to schools to sponsor their events and be the official timekeeper for the organization. This allows for people to interact with Rolex employees as well as their products. I choose the Apple Watch commercial as a contemporary representation of everyday life. It represents the contemporary life well because it is a watch, something that been in existence for a while and is familiar to everyone; but it’s far more than just a watch, it revolutionizes the traditional way that people think of watch. The commercial starts by presenting the physical appearances of Apple Watch, which has the same typical design as its counterparts to include a display and watchband, as well as the innovation of the buttons on the side of the display. Then it goes to the display, which is the main part of the watch that differentiates it from its counterparts. In the beginning, the display serves its basic function and shows time like…

Compared with Tag Heuer and Zenith, which are founded in 1860 and 1865, respectively, Hublot is a young generation among the luxury watch industry. One of the most important factor of its success should be the “Art of Fusion”. It took 3 years of research to create the strap which connected to the watch body. The contact of natural rubber and skin is just like regeneration. The two parts of the strap can be adjusted to an appropriate moment when purchasing, which will be very comfortable to fit the customer’s wrist, thus bringing an incomparable experience of each purchaser. This design is quite different from other watches and as a result achieving the luxury watches among the “old generation”.…

The introduction phase of the product life cycle on a new product can be extremely challenging because a strategic marketing plan needs to be intact in order for it to move to the growth phase. The introduction phase is “a period of slow sales growth as the product is introduced in the market. Profits are nonexistent because of the heavy expenses of product information” (Kotler, Keller, 2011, p.310). A product that has entered the introduction phase within the last six months is Samsung’s Gear 2 watch. The issue with this product (watch) is that Samsung’s first attempt at a “technologically advanced” watch was not successful. This Gear 2 hopes to please the market with its uniqueness and the fact that this type of product is not offered by its major competitor Apple. “Unlike their predecessor smart watch from Samsung, which was powered by Android, these new models use the Tizen operating system” which reduces its dependence on Google (Arora, 2014, p.1).…
