Healthy – My goal is to encourage my children to follow healthy and nutritional eating habits. I do this by promoting foods that are healthy and clean for my children to eat. I teach about and have my children sample all types all types of healthy food to help our bodies grow strong. My children and I have helped encourage in changing the centers menu to make the menu fun, colorful, yet healthy and nutritious, that meet the needs of those children with a special diet. To establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment I model safety practices and healthy routines in an environment that supports development and growth in these areas. My goal is to provide a clean healthy environment that meets each child’s physical needs. Making sure the classroom and playground are clean and safe at all times reduces the number of injuries of children while they are in my care. One of the ways I do this is by supervising children at all times by sight and sound even during nap times. Making sure all outlets are covered so children can’t access them. I make sure inside as well as outside there is nothing children can harm themselves on such as sharp objects or small items they can choke on. I ensure that all chemicals and cleaning supplies are put away out of the reach of children or stored in locked cabinets. I am certified in First Aid and CPR, which makes me knowledgeable of caring for accidents or injuries.…

I believe that young children learn best through exploration and hands on experience. They should be encouraged to discuss and socialize with other children. Children should be interested in the learning topic, and teacher’s need to plan their activities accordingly. I believe that the activity should involve more than three domains; this way the learning will benefit as well as the child will learn to multitask. I believe that all of the learning should be child-initiated and teacher supported. Children need to also use some open-ended material which will develop their imagination. Children learn each minute that they are awake, so teachers just need to provide a clean, safe environment with a lot of useful…

The basis of a positive and effective learning environment are centered around the ideas of consistency, mutual respect, participation and trust. Without these values no classroom, work, or home environment can function at their true potential. As in any structured atmosphere, a classroom must have participation from its students in the procedures and routines set in place by their educator. It is equally as important for the educator to convey his or her expectations, rules, and consequences in-depth with their students in a way that provides their students with a feeling of trust and respect.…
