Prepatellar Bursitis Research Paper

Prepatellar Bursitis is the inflammation on the front of the patella. This skeletal disease is very common in people that are usually kneeling or are on their knees most of the time such as landscapers or gardeners. Even something just like a knee injury could cause prepatellar bursitis right after the injury so precautions must be taken to prevent the disease. Therefore, prepatellar bursitis is more common in males than females and can affect any age group. Most of the time this disease occurs is because it creates a bursa, a fluid filled sac, and the bursa wants to decrease the friction on the ligaments and joints of the patella. Prepatellar bursitis will have symptoms in most cases that are very visual such as redness around the area, pain will occur, the skin will begin getting warm, and swelling of the area or areas will occur. When and if these symptoms happen, usually an infection will begin as stated in the article.
