Chapter 1

INTRODUCTION

Books are the primary and traditional tools used in finding information. It is one of the things that help our young minds be filled with needed knowledge. Books have earned a trusted spot in the world’s culture as legitimate sources of information, having been awarded by an entire network of people. However, humanity evolves fast that it is being replaced by technology; internet.

Internet is considered as one of the greatest invention of the modern human race. It is often compared with a library. There are thousands of websites in the internet that students nowadays explore like the library having thousands of books. Internet has vast references that are easy to hit upon.

We, the researchers, chose doing this to know which is more preferred by the students as reference in doing their assignments. If the books are more preferred since readers can have concrete assurance that the information they get are accurate or the internet which is vastly used around the world to get updated information.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM The main purpose of this study is to identify which reference is better preferred between books and internet in doing assignments of third year and fourth year students in Asian Computer College. Here are the main quandaries of attention which this study seeks:
