Ppa Role Reflection

In order to gain a deeper insight to the role of PA’s, I organised a placement at Birmingham Children’s hospital shadowing a PA, which solidified my chosen career path. I uncovered the PA’s vast medical knowledge in general practice among skills to converse with a diverse range of patients. One particular occasion which I admired about the PA was her method of treating an agitated child with breathing difficulties, due to his cystic fibrosis. The PA managed to control the child’s breathing along with comforting and reassuring the patient and his mother.
