Poverty: Crime and Worthy President Respected
Worthy President Respected Teachers And dear audience. Assalam-o-Alaikum!
The topic given to me for today speech is “Poverty is the mother of crimes.” First of all I would like to define poverty. Condition where people’s basic needs for food, clothing and shelter are not being met is called poverty. There are two types of poverty. Absolute Poverty and Relative Poverty. (1) Absolute poverty which means about the same everywhere and can be eradicated as demonstrated by some countries. (2) Relative poverty occurs when people do not enjoy a certain minimum level of living standard as determined by government. That varies from country to country. The most ideal and perfect personality of universe Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W) has said “Poverty is sin and prayed to Allah save him from poverty. Why do people get crimes due to poverty? It is fact that empty belly motivate to crimes. Poverty may be the mother of crime but lack of good sense is the father. According to Kurt Cobain “Petty laws breed great crimes”. Mary Louise “Crime is a product of Social excess”. Society prepare the crimes, the criminal commits it “Crime is a logical extension of the sort of behavior.” When people do not get their fundamental rights and their children are dying with hunger before them. They got frustrated. They commit any kind of crime and become thieves and robbers. Crime is an offence against a public law. No doubt companions of Holy Prophet were mostly poor but they got through poverty very successfully because they had strong Eman and we can overcame poverty if we give merit accountability and a Judiciary. There is a simple way to solve the crime problem obey the law punish them who do not have the real significance of crime. In the recent times rich persons commit crimes greater than the poor.
We should be very careful in our economic policies. They should be framed in a way that the masses may get the greatest benefit. Industrialization and agriculture must
