Posse Scholar Reflection
As a Posse Scholar, I came to campus with a four-year full-tuition scholarship and a group of ten other students who are part of my Posse and my support system. This program started when a student said, “I would have never dropped out of college if I had my Posse with me” and it has inspired me to create a support system that provides guidance academically through teams or groups that I am a part of. As a Resident Adviser of a community-focused residence hall, I have created an open and supportive environment. By understanding the unique perspectives from transfer students, international students, and students who are pursuing different majors, or come from different background, I am able to play on the group’s strength.
