My most influential role model would be my father. He has raised me to trust…
Once I left high school, I went on to college, and eventually continued my education at with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science. After I obtained my degree, I began coaching and mentoring the young men at in the New York City area. Being a mentor to those young men was an enlightening experience; it allowed me to understand the importance of a role model. Had it not been for the role models in my life, I'm not sure what direction my life would have taken. It was that experience and the influence of my friends in positive associations s that fueled my desire to change the lives of young men and women the way that they changed mine.…
The persons who has a positive influence in my life are my parents. They influence me by being a strong minded role models and never given up hope through my teenager stage and helping me choosing the right path. My parents are originally from a country of communist and had fled to find freedom. They went through a lot of conflicts and was held captive in refugee camp before they came to America. When they arrive in America with no knowledge and not even fluent with English language, they still manage to survive in a country that their not familiar with and still uphold to raise a family.…
A new role model I have now in my life is a sister named Dorothy Stang. Dorothy was someone who wanted to make a change in the world and was willing to help anyone she met. Dorothy left her life in Ohio where she could get plenty of anything and she then went to a life where she met people who were struggling to survive by their survival farming. All of those people there had troubles getting what we sometimes take advantage of here. She left the United States and went to Brazil to continue on God’s mission and assisting others. Her strength, faith in God and her selflessness are three of the qualities that she portrays that I admire the most. Dorothy gives such a great example of Christ in the world. She brought the joy of God to so many people in the rainforest.…
The best type of role model is one that teaches a good life lesson. What’s part of a good life lesson? A good life lesson stays with you whole life. A good lesson affects their life in a way that changes in a good way. You also gain new characteristic from life lessons; an example is courage, bravery or confidences. “While many American children believe athletes motivate them to follow their dreams, they’re also mimicking the bad behavior of their sports heroes on the playing field, a new…

With the characteristics that I gained from the role models earlier in my life, I aspire to be a hard worker, a good dad, and a man of integrity. By being these things, I will be a role model to my children when they grow old enough, my coworkers at my workplace, and my friends, even the friends that I have today, thereby creating a next generation of hard workers, good fathers, and men of integrity. I look forward to following in the footsteps of my mentors and leading future generations in the right direction. Leading by example has always been and will always be a vital part of our society, our culture, and way of…
Throughout my high school career, I did not show academic excellence from freshman year until the beginning of junior year. When junior year came by, I decided to show my academic potential by signing myself up for Post Secondary Enrollment Option at Concordia University. Following this commitment towards Concordia, it helped bring out my academic abilities by trying harder in school now so that I could get accepted into the PSEO program, which would help pay for parts of my tuition for college. Gradually, I started to show more interest for my academics-- which taught me to become a leader not only to myself, but also to my family and peers. My commitment towards leadership and service to be a more positive difference-maker was brought up…

The definition of a role model is “a person whose behavior, example, or success is or can be emulated by others, especially by younger people.” I think this is the most accurate description because when you find your role model, you do your best to emulate them in any way you can. I do this for my role models and im sure other people do it for…
I always strived to do the best that I can, in everything that I do, and this especially applies to academics. In 6th grade, I joined the honors program at my middle school; from then on forward, I made sure than my work was of high enough quality so that the following year I would be placed in honors courses. These courses are what I believe prepared me for my success in high school. I got a taste of what it was like to be in an environment where every pupil was hungry for an education and for knowledge, and I grew to want to learn as much as my classmates. I entered high school with courses that upperclassmen had that challenged me more than anything else had before. It was during my freshman year of high school that I realized that I couldn’t…

Many Civil Society Organizations (CSO) in the Philippines worked their ways to influence various sectors whether to support or opposed the Reproductive Health Law. Learning about Pollard and Court’s framework on how CSOs/NGOs influence policy-making made me realize that CSOs in our country adhere to the policy processes that would make their position in an agenda remarkable.…
