We had the task to make a portfolio and an image video about our dream job or a job that we could see ourselves doing in the future.
We decided to make a portfolio about the job as a make-up artist because we were really fascinated with this job field as we all personally like to experiment with make-up and hair and could even imagine ourselves doing this job in a few years since we are very interested in this profession.

Information about the job field
A makeup artist applies makeup to performing artists in order to enhance their appearances. He or she works with actors or others who are performing in theater, on television or in movies.
The job requires an apprenticeship that you can only start if you have at least a vocational baccalaureate diploma which you can get in Germany after finishing 11th grade and going to a vocationally oriented upper secondary school.
The apprenticeship usually takes 2 months and is full time. After finishing it you can officially start working as a make-up artist with a company or start your own business.
The tasks of a make-up artist include consulting with performers, directions and others associated with a production in order to come up with a makeup plan that meets the desired effects, duplicating makeup from prior day or days so performers' appearances remain the same over multiple days of filming, planning use of makeup according to a script, reapplying makeup as necessary throughout a performance and establishing and working within a
