Society has modified itself to be an extremely judgmental place, where stereotypes run popular culture. History has shown that those who are well off financially, have easier and better lives than those with less money. While wealth is important when it comes to developing careers and businesses, it fails to consolidate people. In order for a group of people to become unified, a common component has to come into play and connect them. Money cannot ally if it is not present. A successful government relies on infrastructure, a small town or even a large city is no different. Civil defense services include ambulances and paramedics, police, as well as, firefighters. Poverty stricken areas are typically the farthest away from hospitals and fire stations. Whereas new, richer areas are in great location to hospitals and police stations or precincts. Liquor stores, tobacco retailers, and pawn shops are rarely opened in the parts of towns that flourish with income. Instead, they are located in troubled environments, where those in stressful situations cannot always make the best decisions. By the same token, beneficial businesses are not opened in rougher areas. Candy stores, boutiques, gift shops, and antique stores are accessible in areas where crime is low and cash influx is high. These stores would impact lower areas by bringing jobs and a positive reputation. Even though they have negative connation, bars are found in both social class divisions. Interestingly, geography has proven to be a major ingredient in the evolution of a community (Debertin). It allows people to be able to connect through the environment and the entertainment it provides. For example, houses near golf courses lure in golfers. Those golfers now have two things in common. They both like golf and they both live by the golf course. Lastly, recreational areas are not found in close proximity to lower income developments. Upper class areas are notorious for having large, beautiful parks filled with bike paths, walking trails, play equipment, and even camp sites.
