Polyandry
When you blow out a normal candle, you see thin smoke rising up. The wick is hot enough to vaporize the wax but not hot enough to re-ignite it.
In trick candles however, they add an ingredient that ignites at a lower temperature then the paraffin wax. This ingredient is usually a pyrophoric metal(metals which ignite at extremely low temperatures).
MAGNESIUM is the most commonly used pyrophoric metal in trick candles, with the magnesium flakes embedded in the wicks. When you blow out the candle, the wick that remains is hot enough to light off the magnesium and the burning process continues.
Polygamy (one man several wives) has been in practice for several thousand years. But did you know even Polyandry (one wife several husbands) is present in Tibet and some tribal places of India. Fraternal polyandry (like Draupadi of Mahabharata , one woman gets married to all brothers) is still practiced in Jaunsar-Bawar tribals in Uttarakhand. Todas are tribal people residing in the Nilgiri hills in South India who once practiced polyandry.
Junk DNA makes up around 98% of human genome. Junk DNA is also termed as non-coding DNA many times. This DNA does not produce proteins .Recent researches establish that junk DNA plays a significant role in human lives, even if it is not having functional activity. Changes in junk DNA leads to structural changes in the genome. Further it is said that junk DNA in humans play crucial roles in evolution. A geneticist, Susumu Ohno, was the first to coin the term “junk” DNA in 1972. A massive project called ENCODE, which aimed to uncover its role found junk DNA really isn't needed for healthy plants but same may not be the case for

During the burning period, the flame vaporizes the candle’s wax which yields water and carbon dioxide into the air. This causes the candle to melt slightly and drip down the sides of the candle, which shows a change after the burning period. Also, the whole purpose of the experiment was to increase observational skills and think of ways to perform the experiment with provided tools in the laboratory. Practicing accurate measuring and data collecting skills due to human nature as vision can be be unreliable sometimes.…

You soak a note in ethanol (alcohol) and it will burn when lighted, leaving the note untouched. This is because alcohol is more flammable, and burning alcohol causes it to vaporize, along with the water present in the solution. This removes heat from the note and prevents it from reaching its combustion point.…

In this essay I will argue the point that polygamy will not work in the Australian society in which we live today. ‘Polygamy is not merely an exotic habit of a few faraway people. A wide range of very different societies allow a man to be married to more that one wife simultaneously and is even today a viable form of marriage in large parts of the world’. (Bretschneider 1995 p.11) I will support my argument based on the reasons some of these cultures practice polygamy and why in Australia there is no need for this type of marriage. There are many theories to explain the development of polygamy within cultures, I will examine several of these reasons and compare them to the Australian society of today.…

Polygamy is a common practice in many parts of the world, but in the United States it is highly insisted upon to restrict marriage to monogamy, and there is a very simple reason for this. The largest and most prominent reason for polygamy being restricted in the United States is that the primary religions of the original settlers strictly forbade that act of having more than one spouse, and thus they carried over the laws of their doctrine into the laws of their own moral character and their country as it was being formed. Countries that have a primary religion that excepts polygamy are more likely to allow a man to have multiple wives, but this does not mean that women are allowed to have multiple husbands. Polyandry, or the practice of having…
