Community Issue: Pollution Do you hate seeing rubbish in the street? My topic is all about pollution. Pollution is a problem in Hawaii because it cause health problems, water gets polluted by throwing of chemicals in river and other bodies of water and land gets polluted because of too much wastes from industry. My first reason is because it can cause health problems. There are so many reasons and causes of land pollution. According to National Geographic, the major factors responsible for these problems are the pesticides, leaching or waste due to landfills, direct discharge from the industry, fuel dumping and oil dumping.
