How can pollution affect a country’s economy and cause disasters within a country and cause health risks

Economic effects of a country
Since the 1970s, scientists and economists have predicted that the negative effects of air pollution would take a serious toll on the global economy. Most of these kinds of studies focus on the health care costs that result from humans breathing highly polluted air. One 2008 state by Cal State Fullerton, for instance, estimated that air pollution cost the State of California alone $28 billion per year.
Examples of how pollution affects the economy of a country
Air Pollution effects on the economy * Air pollution causes acid rain. Acid rain is largely responsible for the decrease of fish populations. When fish and other aquatic organisms are exposed to acid. Thus the level of present aluminum is increased. Aluminum is toxic to fish, and many fish die because of aluminum exposure. Younger species are more susceptible to the dangers of acid rain than older ones. If the fish are not killed by acid rain, they are harmed, and often their eggs are unable to hatch. Many acid lakes have no fish at all. This is the case with Little Echo Pond in Franklin, New York. Therefore fishermen will not have jobs in certain areas and there will so be food shortages.

Deaths of fish caused by acid rain

* Acid rain can increase the speed of decay on buildings. When a building made with limestone or sandstone is exposed to the sulphur pollutants from acid rain, the sand
