Police Should Wear Body Cameras Essay

Every day an incident happens between a police officer and a citizen but not always do people know what really happens in these cases. These cameras will retain track of what the officer says or does when at the prospect of the crime, keeping them liable. Police Foundations wanted to test out this theory with a yearlong study. The cameras on these police officers will be able to keep track of all the evidence from the scene of the crime and will assure accurate statements and facial recognition from the victims and witnesses. A fairly common approval for reducing police misconduct is to upturn the use of body cameras on police officers.
What really does happen between police officers and criminals that citizens will not know unless for a body camera. By recording police-citizen encounters, police supervisors, judges, reporters, and others can get objective evidence of what happened instead of self-serving hearsay. When police cameras are on, they will capture everyday civilian and police behavior that does not necessarily need to be recorded. These body cameras will be keeping the officers reliable for what all they do near and to the citizens. The cameras that wants to be issued to the officers might not be avoiding a person’s privacy but at times may be shut off will be helpful for court cases and finding criminal justice caused by the citizens or officers. Using the body cameras on officers may cost the United States more money than usual for police officers but will help greatly for criminal justice. There for the officer body camera will help us greatly improve police behavior towards certain crimes and
