I am an ambitious person who wishes to pursue a career in the police service as I can see my future working in an unpredictable environment where each day is different and I am constantly challenged and always learning. As a police officer I know I will be able to make a big difference within my local community and I look forward to experiencing that rewarding feeling at the end of each day knowing I have made a difference in my local community.

I understand and expect that shift patterns will have an impact on my social and domestic life but I have the full support of my family and friends. I also anticipate some friendships being affected due to the nature of the job.
What preparation have you undertaken before making this application to ensure you know what to expect and that you are prepared for the role of Police Officer? 270
As preparation I studied the force website to get an understanding of what the local force is trying to achieve. I studied police recruitment websites to ensure that I would be suited for this role. I have read books about serving officers to get an idea of the role.
If you have previously applied to be a police officer, special constable or police community support officer (PCSO), what have you done since your last application to better prepare yourself for the role of police officer? 270
I researched more into the role of a police officer to ensure that I am best suited for this role. I bought a DVD that guided me through the police application process so that I could avoid common mistakes and have an idea what to include in each
