Poem Analysis: Summer Shower

My poetry notebook contains selections relating to different events and feelings, this helps create a variety of emotions. For example, my notebook starts with a poem title “Summer Shower,” this poem is quite humble and presents itself as a calm melody. In perspective, this poem is followed by a piece titled “Vietnam,” a poem that explains the devastating repercussions of a tragic American war. Throughout the notebook no distinct pattern is followed; humor is mixed with sadness and anger is mixed with happiness. I believe that this structure gives the notebook character and keeps the reader interested in a large assortment of art.
