PMulticultural competence was a major strength of classwide tutoring as it shows how for struggling urban learners, the peer tutoring offered significant gains and “was discovered to be an effective alternative towards the traditional reinforcement systems commonly connected with classwide peer tutoring programs” (Hawkins, Musti-Rao, Hughes, berry & Mcguire, 2009 p.316).
However, a weakness of one to one tutoring is that it is confusing as it shifts to cover children having early reading difficulties and those that are distracted, ones who have one feature but not the other, and some that have none. It would have been easier if only a few groups were studied. It also seems to provide some contradictory conclusions as it praises the program,
