1. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
1.1. General Description of Work The work to be completed under this contract will be to build a new practice field, a small clubhouse, and a parking area that would hold approximately 50 cars for the Erie Seapirates, a semipro baseball team. There will be no spectator seating required at this location because this is only a practice facility. The practice field that is currently being used is owned by the city and will be closed down in order for the city to build additional commercial buildings. The owner of the Erie Seapirates owns approximately 20 acres in Avonia, PA. Avonia is located approximately 12 miles from Erie. The owner has decided that instead of leasing another facility from the city, he wants the Seapirates to practice in a new facility that has been built on this property. The existing land as it stands is relatively flat and has a few dilapidated structures (barns) and trees on it. There is existing water; sewer and electricity on the edge of the property so connecting to these should not present any unusual technical problems.
1.2. What Must Be Included with Bid All bids must be itemized along with Labor and Materials broken out. Working hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7 days a week. Weekend work is not required however, if you are including weekend work in order to meet or beat the schedule please make note of it. All insurance information must be submitted with your bids confirming all of you workers compensation etc. is up to date. Additionally please submit your company’s safety

10/4/2014Why have Personal Navigation Devices become popular? What technologies are required to facilitate the success of PNDs? PND’s have become very popular in both handheld and vehicle models. These personal devices allow the users to not only determine where they need to go but also where they are and most have a memory which allows the user to save locations to their favorites. If they are connected to the internet they can be updated regularly with new locations to search for within their memory like restaurant’s, gas stations, and various other stores and community locations. PND’s work using GPS navigation satellites to gain their respective GSP coordinates. With these coordinates the internal system can place them on the map that have been installed within the PND and shows the user where they are in relation to other locations and can even give the best path from point A to point B. CITATION htt27 \l 1033 (htt27)Who are some of the leaders in PNDs? What are the likely factors that will contribute to winning in this marketplace? Among the top PND’s are Garmin, Tom Tom, Magellan, and Motorola. The PND that I have had personal experience with would be the Garmin. Garmin produces rugged hand held models that are perfect for camping, hunting and hiking. They normally come equipped with forest roads and other off the beaten track maps that the vehicle models do not contain. To win in this market the PND manufacturers need to be able to give simple but robust features along with a reasonable price structure that will enable the average user to be able to afford them. I chose to write about a couple of stadiums that are/were used by one team. At the conclusion of the 2008 Major League Baseball season, the old Yankee stadium in New York completed its 88th and final year of hosting the Yankees. The new Yankees Stadium in New York just wrapped up their second regular season of hosting the Yankees, after they moved from their old ballpark across the street. In this paper I hope to compare some differences and similarities between the two stadiums. Specifically the cost of the stadiums, the amenities each one provides, and the differences a spectator may experience from visiting the new stadium compared to the old one.…

Tim Snyder Dr. Kohl 1 December 2008 Economics of sports Public Funding for Sport facilities The question that the public has to ask themselves is if this is fair. There are obviously upsides and downsides to every alternative, but what are they when a sports team decided to build a new stadium? Let’s say that the stadium is staying in the same city, but is changing locations and needs a new location to build. The team has to choose a site to build on. This site is the future of the team, but also if negotiations with the city went well it could be the future of the city. If placed in a run-down section of town the city would give tax breaks and incentives to the team to build there. This causes problems with the neighboring buildings and tenants. The people who live there are forced to move out of their homes to build this stadium. The people who owned a house in the area would be bought out and tenants would be forced out on the streets. I am sure there wasn’t a person that would walk away from that that didn’t get compensated for the inconvenience, but it would cause some headaches. Yes, the new build would make new jobs, but not enough to offset the cost for the public. The spots are to be filled with the same faculty that was with the team the last location. This build would only promise construction jobs and some manufacturing. Pro sports will always be a part of our economy. With this being said there will always be the need to rebuild or finance expenses for maintenance. This means the public will always have to deal with this. However, with sports being a very important part of our everyday lives it would be a rough place to live without them.…

In the beginning of 1990s, Reson A/S, a company specializing in underwater acoustics and high power ultrasonics, faced managerial challenge. They needed to rethink how to manage the development of new products, with the target to reduce the development time from three years to three months. As a result, Reson A/S gained new major customers which needs to be served quickly and effectively with existing technologies. Reson chose two approaches to manage its development projects: 1) opening up the organization; developed the company culture and open communication, 2) making the development teams themselves accountable for short project cycles by giving unlimited trust and unlimited financial resources to the project manager. At the end, Reson was successful to manage the new project, and productivity jumped by 50%…
