Planned Parenthood: Discussion Board Assignment
An evaluation plan, at a minimum should assess the following goals: 1) The program objective in measurable terms, 2) Key indicators of success, 3) Outline data collection and analysis activities and 4) A timeline to monitor the success of the program on an ongoing basis (Johnson & Crean, 2008, p. 3). When an organization assesses these minimum components, it will permit them to focus on what's important - improving services for clients, and provide accountability updates to customers, and inform key stakeholder of the organization progress, they will be successful in completing their outcomes.

These five compelling reasons are: 1) To determine the effectiveness of a program; 2) To identify effective practices; 3) To identify patterns that need improvement; 4) To provide value to existing and potential funders; and 5) To provide clarity and consensus on the purpose of your program to everyone in your organization, from board members to service staff to volunteers (United Way, 1999, pp. 10-13).
The evaluation criteria I think Planned Parenthood should use comes from the Program Evaluation Grid Guide, which is a Planning and Assessment Tool for Nonprofit Organizations. The program categories this organization should evaluate on is 1) program values, 2) effectiveness and quality of the programs, 3) financial responsibility, 4) program's importance to all stakeholders or investors in the arrangement, and 5) program marketing. Also, Kluger (2006), suggests, “Non-profit organization are graded on 24 individual factors that are comprised of five fields. These five fields are: strategic values of a program, the effectiveness/quality, financial value of a program, a program's importance to key stakeholders, and marketing” (p. 33). These five metrics according to him are crucial to helping key-decision makers in an organization determine budgeting, program reduction or elimination, determine an organization's strength and challenges of programs, and agency-wide …show more content…
Technology evaluation is a process consisting of analyzes of technological developments and their results. Moreover, technology evaluation has been one of the most significant breaks thru in technology since it provides users with innovation, function, such as it allows users to do technology transfer amongst various software, it can be utilized to screen new ideas, assessing innovative or not innovative technologies (Barkouros, 2000). In other words, it’s a very powerful tool that an organization can use to examine new ideas, identifying and analyze potential changes, develop and plan possible solutions, and select and implement the various types of engineering. In conclusion, technology evaluation can provide organizations the tools and information to developing their program outcome strategies that might define subjects for further technology evaluation
