Planned Parenthood Article Analysis

Planned Parenthood has been in the makings since 1916. The organization started out as a health clinic that offered free birth control to women. It continued to progress over the years until 1942 the organization, which was called Little Rock Birth Control Clinic at the time, changed to Planned Parenthood. The organization still goes by this name to this day. Although the organization offers much more than just free birth control to women. In fact, in recent times the organization has become the center of attention for many groups of people because of one of their most popular services; abortion. Most people see abortion as an equivalent to murder. Many people claim that if a woman did not want to have a baby she should not have participated
In 2015 she wrote an article addressing the issue she has with Planned Parenthood. Beaty’s article focuses primarily on the issue of whose issue abortion is. According to Beaty abortion is not primarily a women’s issue, but it is actually a human issue. Although, Beaty does explain how more people in today’s society will actually listen and take this issue seriously if women begin speaking out against abortions as well. The author shows biased beliefs because she is also a Christian which she states in her article. Beaty concludes her article by claiming that many more people will most likely hear about this subject numerous times as the upcoming 2016 presidential election
Especially due to the current presidential elections are allowing more people to speak out on their beliefs on the organization. Many people believe that abortion is only something that women can speak out on. Others believe that it is an issue that everyone needs to be speaking out about. The sad truth is that if America made abortion illegal many women would just go to extreme measures to complete abortion. I would prefer to have one person killed instead of two. I do not support abortion but, I do believe that allowing abortion to be legal seems like the safer of the two choices. No matter whether abortion is legal or illegal someone is going to be unhappy about the decision. It comes down to the simple fact that you cannot please everyone. I believe many people forget that Planned Parenthood also offers many other services to women across the world. These services are something that women benefit from on a daily basis.
