It's happens all around the world, everyday, people in the world steal someone else's  belongings from them. It is one of the biggest issues going on in the world. It can vary from  stealing someone's money to stealing someone's paperwork. When someone steals or copies  someone else's work without proper citation saying that it isn't the persons work, it is called  plagiarism. Plagiarism is also known as acedmic dishonesty.

The definition of plagiarism according to google dictionary is "the practice of taking someone  else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own"(1). Plagiarism is told to students  across the world in schools. When in some highschools plagiarism isn't taken as seriously as  it should be. Highschool is mainly meant to prepare students for going into the work force,  college, or university.

When in unviersity or college, the teachers there take plagiarism very seriously. Some  highschools and almost every university and college in the country have softwares that the  teachers use to out work in that has been handed in by their students and it checks if it has  been plagiarized at all. Students that get caught plagiarizing can or and will get in serious  trouble.

If you are caught plagiarizing in some schools, the teachers and principles usually decide  what the discipline should be. It can range from detention, a failing mark on the plagriazed  work, being kicked out of the school, and even jail time and being sued if it
