What do you think when you hear the words “pitbull?” I’m guessing aggressive, violent, or even dangerous? We can thank the media for all the negative attention focused solely on attacks on humans and other dogs from the pitbull breed, many Americans place a prejudiced on pitbulls, tagging them as dangerous and vicious. This stigma typically applies to all pitbulls, not just the ones that have actually caused harm. To try and take care of the issue of so called “dangerous” attacks, the legislative act known as breed-specific legislation is being debated and tried throughout the United States for one specific breed. We all know that there have been attacks by other breeds but we are focused on pitbulls. That’s why I say if you are looking for a good story on Pitbulls, you are not going to find many people don’t have very nice things to say. The media likes to focus on only the terrible things about pitbulls rarely ever the positive. Like I like to say if you go to the ghetto, you will end up with things that are hard core. Most dog fighting rings that you see on the news you will see in bad neighbor hoods. Go to the nice part of town bet you won’t find any bad pitbull story’s there. In lower income neighbor hoods there are many puppy mills breeding for money and strays running around left for dead. Focus on getting these dog fighting rings shut down and the training of pitbulls to be so vicious. This would also help shut down these puppy mills and stop the over population and help us get our pitbulls already out there spayed and neutered.
