Oh, great!!! How can all these be happening to me now? My asthma is starting up again. I wish my Auntie were with me; everything would be different if she was right by me. She sure would not only help me ease my difficulty in breathing but even my disappointment. I can’t believe this! How could Ralph betray me? Why did he have to tell everyone what people in school used to call me? I already told him not to tell anyone. Now, everyone is mocking me and calling me ‘Piggy’. I really thought we were already friends after I went in the water with him. But somehow I felt that not everything was perfect because he was not really speaking to me that much. If only I had learnt how to swim, maybe he could have trusted me more… maybe he would have talked to me and listened to me more… But it was my idea to use the conch shell to call the other boys! I even taught him how to use it. Why couldn’t he like me more than Jack? I really thought he was a clever boy and I guess most of us here still think he is. That’s the main reason why he got the most votes to be the island leader. We thought he could help us be organised. But I’m not sure now about my judgment. I don’t understand how he could even choose Jack to lead the hunters. Can’t he see his character? Jack is never going to be a good leader. He just won’t because he doesn’t know how to treat people with fairness and kindness. I think he doesn’t have a heart. Imagine, he just let that boy who fainted alone on the rock. If he’s got the heart of a leader, he should have done something to help that poor boy. I wonder what Ralph saw in him really. Oh, It must because he is not fat as me… I feel like I am starting to hate myself again. Asthma, fat built, less friends. I really miss my Auntie. I wish this was just a bad dream. I hope things will be ok. I hope Ralph will listen to my opinions. I really hope we can be good friends!
