Theorist Maria Montessori believed that in order for a "school environment to be comfortable, young children need furnishings of their own size and tools that fit their small hands" (Mooney, 2000). Similar to the classroom seen in the video "Montessori,” Norah’s classroom seemed to fit Montessori’s description entirely. To begin with, the classroom had a well-ordered environment that offered Norah a lot of movement and activity. Instead of having a set timed schedule, she was able to freely choose and work on activities at her own pace. This kind of schedule allowed her to have a sense of both freedom and self-discipline, as guided by the environment.…

The higher stage I observed was formal operation stage, these students have more knowledge than the preparation stage…

There are three fundamental elements that I believe are conducive to establishing such an environment:…

His mother decided to do again this activity but when the child is 9 months older. The child is sitting in front of her, the mother shows him a bear, she starts to count one, two, and three; the child watches his mom hiding the bear under a blanket, and the bear disappears. After a while, she pulls out the bear under the blanket and the toy appears again. She starts doing constantly this activity, and now the child crawls to the blanket to get the bear. The reason is “sensorimotor intelligence develops as a result of the elaboration and repetition of patterns of movement and sensory experiences that the child comes to recognize in association with specific environmental events” (Newman, B., & Newman, P.R, 2016) because constantly his mother…
