Physical Exercise Is Much More Important for the Old Than the Young. Agree/Disagree?

Good Essays
The elderly do need exercise but a small amount such as walking while people who are middle age should do more especially in order to maintain their body fat and heart condition. However, as young people are very active and have the rest of their lives to live, having large amounts of exercise in their lives can only benefit them. Therefore in my opinion, I disagree with the above statement for the following 3 reasons.

First, young people have a longer life to live and carry more social responsibility, thus they need exercise in order to keep a relatively strong body condition. Young generation plays a very important role in the society, such as raising the child, taking care of the old and paying tax to support the entire social system. Because the society requires the young to dedicate more than the old, it’s more crucial for youngsters to maintain a physically strong health condition, and exercise is one of the best ways to achieve that.

Second, young people have less opportunity of exercise in nowadays’ society compare to their parents or grand parents’ generation. For example, people used to ride a bicycle when the time my parents went to work, now many people drive to work. Before, we write a letter and went to post office to deliver it, now emails save us time and energy. It is true that an advanced high tech society brings a lot of benefits to our life, it has also changed our life style. “Eat more, move less” life sytle results in more obesity and poor health condition, it is vital for the young to exercise more in order to maintain their health condition.

Last not the least, exercise can ease pressure. Young people have a bigger chance to be frustrated from daily work or the pressure from the family, but they can ease the pressure by simply doing some exercise. When the time I feel down and enable to achieve a good sleep, I will put on my training wear and simply run. After that, surprisingly I feel much better and able to sleep just as great as

It is so difficult to agree to disagree. However, it is something that I had to do. It did not make much sense, and it seemed also impossible to put my beliefs aside just to get along with someone. As a little girl, I have always loved, cherished, respected, and admired animals. I believe in animals receiving equality, meaning: animals who are abused, tortured, killed, and treated unkindly in any manner should receive the same justice that people do. Animals should not be slaughtered or chemically…

freedom of speech. Others advocate free speech, arguing that the freedom of speech is the single most important political right of citizens in a civilized society. Whilst I believe that there are strong arguments on both sides, I would suggest that freedom of speech should be protected in all but extreme circumstances. The freedom of speech is important at all levels in a society. Yet it is most important for the governments. A government which does not know what the people feel and think is in a dangerous…
