Peter Pan Research Paper
When a recreation of a movie comes out, most people think of them as being completely dreadful compared to the first movie. This was exactly how I felt as I watched the two movies. As I started watching them, I found out that Pan is a prequel to Peter Pan. This did not stop me though! When watching the two movies, there was still many differences and similarities between the two. I will be talking about the characters, how the film was set up, the changes in music, and the things that were missing, and kept, from the first movie to the second. First off, the cast of the movies were extremely different. Both of the movies had already famous actors, like Hugh Jackman who played Blackbeard in Pan. A large majority of the cast in Peter Pan had also been featured in other Disney movies. As for the cast size, it seemed that Pan’s cast was a lot bigger than Peter Pan. This was …show more content…
It might've been set before the original, but there was still a lot of changes between the two. One change, and in my opinion the biggest, is that in Pan, everyone grows up. When the pirates take the boys, they're children, but they're forced to stay there and become old there. Most of the extras seemed to be adults instead of young children. I think that this slightly took away from the movie. In Neverland, kids are supposed to stay what they are, kids. Another change between the two movies is that there isn't a fairy kingdom in Peter Pan, in fact only one fairy exists, and thats Tinkerbell. I think that this made a drastic change in the movie because of how it was added into the story. There was only one thing in the movie that I felt like had it not been included in Pan, it would've completely ruined the movie. That is Peter Pan’s pipe. In the original movie, there is something that is extremely symbolic about the pipe, and because they added its significance in the new version added to why it was so

Since the two are very different, I will tell you 3 differences and similarities that I noticed. One difference was Mr. Shuan, an important character, wasn’t even in the movie! He had killed Ransom and that helped Davie escape. Another difference is that Ransom didn’t die in the movie, or at least not the original way. We saw him on the boat before it blew up in the movie, in the book he died in the hull. My last difference is that The Long Mile Gang didn’t exist in the book. Some evidence that proves the flick wasn’t crazy wrong were (1) Alan did wear a blue coat…

The differences are subtle, but they are all there. One difference between the two are the order of events. Certain scenes, such as Paul and Albert's injuries, the French girls and Paul's leave, are all done in different orders in both the movie and book. In the book, the scenes play out like this; first the boys meet the French girls, then Paul has his leave and then finally Paul and Albert get injured However, in the movie the events play out as so; The boys meet the French girls (n this particular sequence of events meeting the French girls happens first, however, in the movie that scene is shown later then in the book), then Paul and Albert get injured, and then finally Paul has his leave. This difference is very trivial as it doesn't change anything significantly, however it is a pretty striking…

One of the things that are different are that it talks about Bernard building his gang in battle school. Another example is that it introduces Bean when dragon army was rebooted in the book, but in the movie, Bean was introduced in the beginning. The final example is that in the movie, Ender found the queen after the battle near the base, in the book Ender finds the queen at the bugger planet that they were colonizing after a few years. This is how the book and the movie is very different from each other.…

There are many differences and summaries between the book and the movie the coronals of Narnia the lion, witch and wardrobe. For example; “In the movie, they crossed that river (jumping over ice bergs, Megrim confronting them on the river, etc), while I'm pretty sure that in the book they didn't cross it, but walked along it or something... can't fully recall. Also, I'm pretty sure in the book they were only confronted by Megrims once after Edmund betrayed them (when Peter fought him), but in the movie there was also the aforementioned confrontation on the river.…

Differences between the two start from the very first scene. In the movie we see all of the girls and Tituba in the forest dancing and casting the spell, while in the book they only reference that it happened, but is never shown in the play. This scene is the most crucial part in setting up everything that is going to happen in the play. The fact that the play does not show this doesn’t let the readers actually visualize what happened like the movie does. Another difference in the scenes is that in the play the Doctor goes to visit Betty, but in the movie he goes to see Ruth and Reverend Parris says that Betty is the same…

One would believe that a movie based on a storybook would have the same plot. In comparing and contrasting the movie Tangled to the short story “Rapunzel”, one can find many differences and very few similarities. Tangled was developed by Disney and has grossed 590 million dollars in the first year; however, “Rapunzel” is only a folk tale handed down through the years until it was finally written down in the 1800s. This is only the beginning of the differences. Looking closely at the plots, one can definitely see there is a difference in the two.…

Another difference between the two flicks are the antagonists. No one could tell just by looking at Hans that he would end up being the antagonist of Frozen; In fact, for half the movie the audience believes that he is a good person. Snow White’s antagonist could be identified based solely on her wicked looks. Frozen does a better job at showing a “ bad” person because in the real world what most people would consider to be evil people look like everyone else. Also real villains do not magic like the queen; they use schemes like…

Although there are a lot of similarities between the two, many small detailed differences can be detected, and can ultimately make the difference between which one is better. For example, the mother plays a much greater role in the movie, than the story. The mother was a rather quiet part in the story, and in the movie was the reason why Aladdin was so good at pickpocketing and stealing. In the movie, the mother was a little older lady, who was extremely proud of her…
