Pet Rats Research Paper
Pet Rats
Pet rats are one of the most misunderstood animals that people keep as pets. When I tell someone that I have pet rats they say things like: ”Ew! thats gross” and “rats carry disease”. However, rats are one of the oldest types of domesticated animals and is also the friendliest.
Rats are very social animals, people who have rats usually keep two or more together. Rats like play fighting with one another and will sometimes make friends with other animals like guinea pigs. Which is exactly what my rat Remy did. Before he was living with other rats he made friends with my guinea pigs, and they would play with each other. Rats that are kept alone can often become depressed and won't live as long as rats that have other rats as company.

Breast cancer is an incredibly common issue for American women. Research has shown that dietary factors may have an influence on the incidence of this cancer. This study implemented a feeding protocol with female Sprague-Dawley rats (a widely used albino laboratory rat) to test the effects of two ratios of carbohydrates and their effects on the early progression of breast cancers. The researchers used N-methyl-N-nitrosourea to induce mammary tumors when the rats were at 52 days of age. After induction, the rats were assigned to either a low protein/high carbohydrate diet or a high protein/moderate carbohydrate diet for 10 weeks. The rats ate 3 meals a day to closely simulate human absorption and metabolism patterns.…

The American Staffordshire Terrier (also known as Pit Bull) is believed to be a man-eating beast. But is this breed all it's made out to be? The Pit Bull started in the Unites States; it has been developed since the early 1800's as a result of crosses between the bulldogs of that time and game terriers. Although the early ancestors of this breed came from England, the development of the American Staffordshire Terrier is the story of a truly American breed. This type of dog was instrumental in the success of farmers and settlers who developed this country. They were used for general farm work, hunting wild pigs, bears, and other large game, guarding the homestead, and general companionship. A number of the early ancestors were also developed for…

Pit bulls are mean. Their bite rate is high. They are a danger. But does anyone think about why they are like that? They aren’t just born like that, it is how some are raised. No dog can just be a certain way. Not all pitbulls mean, and they aren’t the only ones. Any dog can be vicious. It is an unreasonable thought to think all pitbulls are all dangerous in general.…

For as long as man has known about Cats and mice, the two creatures have never gotten along. I know that these creatures do not get along because every Saturday morning I used to wake up and watch Tom and Jerry. In Tom and Jerry, Tom the Cat would always chase Jerry and Jerry always seemed to be a little bit smarter with better plans than Tom. These two creatures would go back and forth chasing each other and fighting just like they do in real life. “The Legend of Cat and Rat” and the story “ How cats and Mice Became Enemies” explain the stories of how people think Cat and Rat became enemies. These two stories tell a similar tale, such as how the Cat gets mad at the rat, and in both stories they are crossing a river.…

Some people think that Pit Bulls are inherently vicious but that is not true, Pit Bulls are only vicious if someone makes them that way. There are not bad dogs, only bad people. A pit bull is not inherently vicious, if they are aggressive and attack, either the person most likely deserved it or they were trained to do so. Furthermore, Pit bulls are no more vicious than Golden Retrievers, Beagles, and other well known dogs. There was a recent study by the American Temperament Testing Society that tested 122 dog breeds and Pit Bulls had a passing score of 86.8%. Pit Bulls ranked fourth for the highest passing breed in this study. You are very unlikely to be fatally attacked by a Pit Bull. In fact, you are 60 times more likely to die from falling…

In fact, any animal, pit bull or even a Chihuahua can be merciless or delicate. Additionally, adore and minding wins out with animals basically as it guarantees with individuals. Tell me, what is the first thing that comes to mind when someone mentions a Pit Bull? I can't speak for everyone, but most of you didn't think of some cute, cuddly, playful puppy.
