Pet Peeve
My Pet Peeve

There are many pet peeves that I have but the one that bothers me the most would be mosquitoes. The reason why mosquitoes bother me so much is because they make that annoying buzz.. sound, that is so abnoxious that not even the twelve disciples would be able to stand it, they always fly as fast as a stealth bomber around you making it very hard to kill, and the challenge of killing a mosquito is so annoying that I get very angy, and irritated. It is like a bull looking at the color red. Also when they bite you, the area that was bitten get as swollen as a boil, and it is very itchy.
I was drifting off to sleep while listening to the summer night’s breeze, rustling the leaves on the oak, outside my window. It was peaceful, dreamy, and most of all, safe. I was almost asleep when a loud buzzing sound filled my ear. A disturbing annoyance cancelled all my thoughts of sleep, and it disturbed all the peace. Buzzzzzzzz... buzzzzzzzz... buzzzzzzz. Only a mosquito can make that sound. “How did it get in here?” I thought. Buzzzzz... buzzzzzzz. Then I saw it! It was clinging to the wall like super glue, waiting for me to just smack it. “On the count of three, I’m going to kill it. One… two… THREE!” SWAT! SWAP! SMACK! SWIPE! Ah, at last! Finally, I had put that little bug out of its misery—and out of mine. And I guess I’ll just clean it up (along with the broken lamp) in the morning The reason why I find mosquitoes to be so annoying is because by reading the paragraph above the reader can imply, that the buzz sound that a mosquito makes drives me crazy especially with the bad temper that I already have, a mosquito just adds fuel to the fire. Another reason why I chose this pet peeve to right about is because I know that it bothers a lot of other people to. Examples would be: friends, relatives, and even some teachers that I have asked, have agreed “why God did you create mosquitoes.” A solution to my pet peeve would be to try, and control my patience

Wild’s viewpoint of roaches contradicts Morley’s by validating the cockroach’s misaligned reputation through dark diction and nightmarish images, making the reader uncomfortably aware of its eeriness. Unlike Morley’s friendly roach who raids the kitchen at night, Wild’s creepy roaches take possession of human beings invading their bodies. This roach, as opposed to Morley’s, is eating disgusting gunk in the bathroom that no person would ever consider to be a meal, something so noxious. The roaches begin to take over his body, ”nibbling his toes,” “probing in his veins,” and “scrambling up his throat” in the same way that roaches take over the sewers in the dark of night “crouched like…

Chewing with your mouth open also makes you look like you belong in a barn with animals.…

Eating is something everyone does but chewing loudly, while you’re talking and chewing gum should be done with a closed mouth.…
