If the puppy seems warm or sleepy most of the time, ask one of your parents to take its temperature. A dog’s temperature normally is between 38 and 39 degrees Celsius. If its temperature rises above 39 degrees, call your veterinarian.

Cheap pet insurance will take care of almost all of the medical costs associated with owning a dog or cat. You can sign up for insurance right from your computer or smartphone. Most companies will give you a quote right from the start so you know what you will be paying before signing up. Make sure to carefully read the fine print before committing to a specific plan. There are usually three types of cheap pet insurance plans to choose from. The least expensive usually only covers routine visits, such as check-ups, vitamins, and vaccinations, which can be a good plan for when you own a puppy or kitten. But once that animal gets older, you will want to upgrade to a plan that includes more coverage. The next plan is for accidents and illness only and will cost more, but is great for covering high-cost surgeries and other medical costs. Finally, comprehensive coverage will basically cover everything from routine health care to chronic illness costs such as canine cancer. Again, be sure to fully understand the plan you are choosing so you aren’t stuck paying for coverage that you don’t need or that won’t cover the most important pet…
