I agree that bottled water most often turns into a great demand during times of disaster. I remember a small city called Flint Michigan which had to turn to bottled water because their water was so contaminated that people were getting sick from drinking it. One other thing that that could be affected during the time of high demand for bottled water, is the plastic used to make to bottles. Bottled water sales have grown as high as 17.8 percent in one year’s time (Hogan, 2014). Each year we as Americans consume a lot of bottled water, whether it be during a disaster or just during out every day lives.
