Persuasive Speech About Bullying
Standing in the center of the basketball court size schoolyard, Jeneanne waits to pick up her two elementary school-age daughters, Sophia and Sienna. It is 2:45 and she is the only parent present in the schoolyard for the 3:00 dismissal. This is typical of Jeneanne as she is always eager to see her children and hear about their day. She makes sure that her last class for each day ends at 2:00 so that she is able to arrive early. She does this to ensure that her children will never wait for her if they are dismissed before 3:00.
Approximately 10 minutes later, the schoolyard is filled with parents. Jeneanne can not be more different than the rest of the mothers. While the rest are wearing heavy coats and have makeup clogging every pore, Jeneanne

Abruzzee?” Mr. Matthews inquires.
“My daughter just informed me that she has been bullied by her classmates for weeks now and it needs to stop,” she pronounces abruptly.

Mr. Matthews writes down this information on his notepad. “I will inform your teacher Mrs. Molly, and have her ensure it stops tomorrow.”

Once Jeneanne ensures that her children are buckled up, she surprises them with dinner at their favorite pizza place. After dinner, they head home, do their homework, and go to sleep. The next morning Jeneanne drops her daughters off at school and then heads to school herself. She is hopeful that Sophia will report a bully-free day. Jeneanne’s day flies by and it is time for her to go pick up the kids. Jeneanne waits at her usual spot and listens to her music. At 2:58 she sees her daughters approach her with glistening smiles. “How did it go today? Was it a bully-free day”? She asks.
“YES! Nikola, Addie, and the rest of the girls said sorry and then told me that I could sit with them again,” Sophia shouts with a huge smile.
“I’m glad. I hope that they learned that being mean serves no purpose. Now, let’s go home and relax because it’s

She glanced around, anxiously watching for Morgan Lyne and Felicity Walker. Morgan always jumped at every chance to insult Calyssa and make her life miserable. Felicity always smirked at her and gave Morgan more power. Calyssa peered around a corner, but there was no Morgan. She quickly walked toward the cafeteria. Maybe today she could get a seat inside. The building came into sight, and she walked faster. If she got in before Morgan and Felicity, she had a fair chance of getting a spot, even if she had to sit with other weirdos. Carrie predicted, the same things happened to us everyday. Teachers acted like we weren’t there, students were friends with Lillian Jean, who disliked us very much, and Jeremy was the only person, other than Cassie and Mrs. Carrie, who would talk to me. The only good thing about this was that we get the cafeteria to ourselves, but it didn’t do much as we were refused the right to be served food by the cafeteria ladies. The next day, we had to stay home and take care of Mama because she got a cold. One thing I knew for sure is that we were not missing school. What we didn’t know then was that the day at school went different for every student and teacher since we weren’t there. Unfortunately for us, Mama felt better the next day and we were no longer needed in the house, so we were sent back to school. “I’m riding the bus today, no matter what anyone says. I’m too tired to walk the whole couple of miles,” complained Cassie as she started towards the bus stop. I didn’t want her to get in trouble, but I was also worn from last night where we had to cook supper, put Mama to bed, and put ourselves to…
