Magic is what these places share. They were created to build and spread joy within the hearts of the people. Though one of these was built before the other, they both aim to fulfill their tasks, and bring magic to the visitors to both resorts. There are die hard Disney fans that will argue that Disney Land is better than Disney World, though the size, the unique attractions and rides, and the history of each will settle the argument that one of these vacation spots is better than the other. When Disney Land first opened in 1955, tickets for adults were a dollar and the price of riding any of the rides was between ten and thirty cents. With the inflation over the past sixty years, that would be $9.01, while the rides would cost between $0.90 and $2.70. While today's prices for a single day pass could range from $95 to $119, depending on the day. Disney World's tickets on opening day were $3.50 for a single day, would cost $20.86, while today it would cost between $97 to $114. Disney, because Walt Disney died a year before construction began. April 30th, 1967 was when Disney World began construction. When he passed away, construction was centered around building an attraction that was similar to Disney Land.
