The Olympics, everyone has heard of them or even seen them at one point in their lifetime. And in the more recent years the Olympics has added many many new sports to the roster. So today when I was asked to think of a sport to put in the Olympics, I thought about what I really wanted to see get recognition that requires a team of people to work together to win. A new phenomenon called Esports emerged out of this desire for a team games get tournament. Now I know you're thinking, what are these Esports? Well, Esports usually involve of a team of players computing in an online video game to test the prowess and skills to be the best in the world. Now doesn't that sound like something familiar to you? Whether you play soccer or badminton the main detail in professional sports is that you need to pay money and earn money. Now most professional gamers don't get nearly as much possible athletes but some pros have even reach the seven-figure mark. In fact the major soda company called Coca-Cola has taken advantage of this phenomenon by starting their own Esport campaign making references to games like league of legends on their website and cans. Tech company is like Nvidia and logitech are really casting on this phenomenon however, they make sure that their players get the best gear and gave equipment and go to events in style because they giving industry first impressions almost single-handedly affect sales. But the real question I need answers why did the splits become so popular now I know I may have already gone over this paragraph One and two but I have another answer. The barrier to entry for gaming is relatively low much lower than most normal sports, for example any kid could throw football but almost love those kids get into the NFL even with efforts.
