Saving America In todays world it is common knowledge of the issues with recycling and pollution. However, there is a way to help slow down the process of over-running our earth. A new initiative is being spoken about, three trash cans for each method of recycling:compost, paper and plastic, and landfill. Other ways include recycling centers, projects for turning your no longer useable items into recycled treasures. I firmly believe in adopting and putting these into practice in our United States with only minor changes. We only have one earth so we have to take care of it. However, in a years time from the use of the bins, they would have paid for themselves. Having it already seperated makes it easier on the enviorment and the people, it will be able to be put to good use sooner, and more efficentley.The downside is the fines for violations on misplaced recycling items or falling to do so. If there was a way to work through this all would be well. Participating in recycling can be more fun than it may actually seem. Imagine turning a few simple metallic bottle caps into stylish earrings. Or creating an vintage looking side table out of scrap or left over wood. Opening DIY recycling centers would greatly improve the way people say items they would call trash. The landfills would be a lot less full, an we would have a lot of new recycled items. In conclusion, my stance on implementing these new initiatives still stand, I believe these would truly help America with slight, very minor changes here and there.The pollution will go down dramaticly, which in turn would help with the overall enviorment. If there was some way to take off the fees for improperly placing recycling in the wrong recycling contaniers i would be all ears.
