Marijuana is one of the most abused drugs in the world. Marijuana is a drug like alcohol, cocaine, or ecstasy .And like these other drugs, it has side effects that can be harmful. This cannot be denied. However, proposition 64 supported legalizing recreational marijuana for persons aged 21 years or older under state law and establishing certain sales and taxes because it allows people to use in a responsible way and stop illegal activity. Besides, it brings in millions or billions of dollars in taxes to the government. Although, I have to admit that proposition 64 also brings negative effect in our lives. That’s a reason for proposition 64 shouldn’t pass by the voters of California.
