But considering the workers only get $7 a day and the minimum wage in the United States is $7.25 per hour, that seems pretty bad. And then most of the money goes to family members that don’t work in the factories or out in the fields. I mean, all you need to work in these factories is a birth certificate. Anywhere in the United States you need to fill out a registration form which includes criminal record, birth certificate/driver's license (to make sure you are the person you say you are), then get a job interview, and wait for them to get in touch with you to see if you got the job. We must all see the veil that Nafta wishes to put on us because of their corporate greed. We must all face the injustice of the modern day slavery in every way it is presented. Whether it is through unfair or no wages, terrible work or housing conditions, or even child labor. We must look at the modern day slavery that sneaks past our lives every single day.
