What is “junk food”? What junk food really is what pretty much goes into the category of snacks, and/or fast food. Even cereals can be considered as a sort of “junk food”. You know what junk food is, for example: chips of any kind, popcorn, cookies, cake, and sweets. Food you would not be healthy to eat a lot of. As you know junk food can be sold at any store or gas station.

Eating these bad foods can lead to many health problems throughout your life as you keep eating more and more of it. Officials say “The increase of eating more junk food can cause obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, certain cancers, tooth decay, and other diseases.” Junk foods contain many fats and preservatives that are not good for the body. “Over seventy percent of people that don’t control their bad eating habits become obese. Obesity is a big problem, especially in the United States. Studies show that kids between the ages of 6-11 are more obese compared to other ages.”

It won’t hurt to do it sometimes. You just have to know how not to take advantage of it. Junk food can be really good, and have such a great, satisfying taste in our taste buds. Even though we may love it, we have to be careful with it. Things may seem and taste good, but there is a consequence to eat too much of it.

Everybody has had junk food before, yet many of those obsessive eaters do not control the amount they eat. Junk food contains calories, with excessive fat, sugars, and salt. Too much of something is bad. We should all limit ourselves. You wouldn’t want your kid to get sick or become obese because of something so simple. Always be sure to be cautious and learn more about what you eat, because who knows the effects it might
