Persuasive Essay On Immigration
We have a good life in Washington. We are lucky. We have enough food and water, good schooling, and no war. But not everyone has our luck. In fact many people have quite the opposite. Imagine being born into a poor family that lives in a war-stricken country with no schooling, and not even enough food to keep you nourished. Well, that’s some people's life, which is incredibly unfair. Although this issue can never be fully solved, immigration is one semi-solution that can help families get out of terrible places and give their kids a chance at an education and life. We need to help encourage immigration instead of trying to stop it! President Trump is attempting to shut down immigration with his ban. The worst part is that he only wants to …show more content…
If you see an immigrant being abused or being done injustices because of what they are, stand up for them! As said in the Yes! Magazine which was talking of a different terrible injustice, the Japanese Internment, “Robert Shivers was the head of the FBI in Hawaii at the time… he and his wife had a live-in Japanese maid… the Shivers family treated her like a daughter. It was Shivers who helped convince President Roosevelt that mass removal of Hawaii’s Japanese was unnecessary.” If you act like Mr. Shivers did and stand up for the immigrants, then you can make a huge difference on many people's lives! Another great method to help stop the injustices done to immigrants is to tell spread the word in whatever way you can. People need to know what is happening! A final way to help reverse the Immigration ban is to march in various marches that are against immigration injustices, or other related topics. If a lot of people participated in all these methods then it would help greatly. First off standing up for the immigrants would help discourage the racists, and it would make the immigrants feel alot safer, better, and less desperate. Additionally if people spread the word then everyone will know that something terrible is happening in our country, and will collectively try to stop it. Finally participating in a march will rally people and will even make Trump notice, which could prove huge. If Trump realizes

Immigration has been an ongoing issue that has affected many people in the United States today, many immigrants have doubled since the 1960s because of the economic stability in their country. Even though immigration from Mexico has decreased over time there is still a majority of other immigrants in the U.S. The immigration system is broken and needs to be addressed and called for attention because they supercharge the economic benefits in America. An immigration reform that comprehensively addresses these problems like providing a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants living and working in the U.S. A common-sense reform would restore faith and still bring hope to immigrants; this will change America…

Although, I fundamentally disagree with the recent executive orders of our president. I acknowledge that migration is made up of an interconnected web of socioeconomic and political factors that makes the process complicated. With this in mind, closing off the borders of the U.S to refugees and immigrants may or may not lead to changes in safety but, one thing is certain, alienation and isolation of a specific group will spark outrage and create greater division in this country. Armed with knowledge and facts are the only way to combat against ignorance, prejudice and to avoid turning a blind eye. My hope is that some day soon clandestine migration will be a thing of the past and that finding a home away from home will not be so…

Instead, I will talk about more important matters. I have seen the many issues that the country is facing because of immigration. But, I have also began to see the effect that all these issues have on the immigrant people. It's difficult for immigrants to be able to express themselves when they come to this country, it also makes it harder for them when people judge them for their legal status. I’m not saying this because it's what I think, I’m saying it because it's what I have been through. When you come to America from a different country it's difficult to understand others and for others to understand you, and it's scary. In the news sometimes it is made to believe that the Hispanic community is bad, but is it really? People don't give the Hispanic community a chance to show the good in them. Instead, they automatically assume the worst and blame them. I strongly believe that if people were to give the Hispanics and every other foreigner a chance than they would be surprised to see that they are not so bad, that once you get to know them, they can show you the good in them. I remember that in 8th grade my English teacher asked the class “If you could change the world in any way, what would you…

We provide our working hands in the construction of many buildings and houses in the States. One way of addressing the issue is to better educate schools and adults in The United States teaching them facts of what these brave souls go through. I would implement this in all schools around the US where they learn in full what immigrants go through so they can also feel some compassion and sympathy for them. Another just way of helping our brothers is by accepting them into the American community helping them and giving them jobs and chances to gain citizenship instead of just deporting whoever comes into town. I would implement this by urging politicians to change and modify immigration laws to help both communities. This way we could use some of the money the United States wastes on the Military into helping these people. By fighting the war on drugs we would also help The United States and countries such as Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala. This way we could increase peace around the world starting with the US and then going to other countries. One way that I personally would address the issue is by getting together with my fellow champlain students making an RPG game that would show the young population of the world what these people go through. That way they would be educated and more inclined to help our brothers and…

In reality, Donald Trump's main goal is to play the victimisation game. He is portraying immigration as the main problem the country has. He is blaming all the people's ills (Lack of jobs, terrorism, inflation, etc) on the enemy, which in this case are immigrants. The government is the one to blame for all this issues, not fellow americans. This only divides us and weakens us as country. Voters, you have the power to not let this happen. We need to keep this country united.…

The United States of America offers great job opportunities and a healthy environment to live. “A vast majority of these immigrants want to get right by law, but there is no achievable pathway for them to do so” (Scholastic Upfront). Everyday, these individuals face hardship and criticism from Americans that claim they “do not want aliens in their country.” Immigrants are people too! With these harsh remarks being constantly thrown at them and having no pathway to start their legal…

Since President Donald Trump’s presidency, many immigrants are being deported due to not being citizens or being illegal citizens. It’s truly unfair as many are trying to seek for a better place to live in, that is the United States of America. The immigrants are being taken away from their families whom some may be legal citizens and are not even criminals at all. Most immigrants are not criminals, so it’s questionable why they are being deported. There should be more sanctuary places like the one the women who is wanted to be deported is in. It’s a safe place and the immigrants should feel like that everywhere else because it is a free country. What to do during deportation is to do it nicely. Immigrants are harshly being dragged away by…

In conclusion, as a first generation immigrant I could protest that the process of immigration is not easy on any individual. We do not move because we have too, honestly nobody would want to leave the people and things they are familiar with and move to another country. However, we do these things in search of a new life, better education, seeking safety or better jobs. Immigration is never easy on the individual no matter how much time goes by, eventually you learn to cope in order to survive. During the process, many people face mental illness, severe depression, anxiety and stress.…

With the new ban, we watched as families cry in despair and a new set of protect calling Trump and America racist. This changes the way many countries view the U.S. negatively, along with heated tempers, unleashing inspiration for Trump impeachment. Not only does the ban affect those 7 countries, but also thousands of people living in America really trying to become a U.S. Citizen as quickly as possible due to their fear of being removed from America. People fear for their lives, scattering for help and answers and some people like my father, are hesitant to leave the country, believing Trump will ban them…

Immigrants who are in the United States deserve to stay here. The government should not be hasty about kicking them out and help them stay in America if the reach a certain requirement. The process would include for immigrants to have a background check, paying taxes, paying a penalty, learning english, and they would have to wait just like other people who want to come into america have to wait. Their shouldn’t be a fight about who is and who isn't allowed to come into the U.S. anymore, anyone should be able to America and feel safe. Deportation needs to end, their shouldn’t be a right or wrong on what race you are if it’s hispanic or muslim, there shouldn’t be argument in this. Immigration is not a bad thing for America either, the economy rises and it adds jobs, over 9 million jobs were made just by immigration. Immigrants already pay taxes and most immigrants are law abiding, America should let those who have lived here remain here, as Bernie Sanders said “It is time to end the discussion of mass deportation. We cannot and we should not even be talking about sweeping up millions of men, women, and children, many of whom have been here for years, and throwing them away.” (Sanders). In today’s society more people would rather have people who have immigrated into America turn into citizens than get deported, it would be…

Over the past decade, the Latino population in America has grown over 3% per year or about 400,000 new immigrants a year. As of 2003, there were 39.9 million Latinos in America, making them the largest minority group in America. These statistics do not reflect all the undocumented and illegal immigrants that enter America every day, so the actual statistics cannot be truly known. Although the Latino population in America is large, this group of people have little access to political and economic power. In the more recent years, Latino’s have been having more political power, due to the fact that more individuals are becoming citizens to avoid social oppression. Latino’s in America face severe social oppression that comes from the laws, like…

Latinos. They’re a problem. Whenever most people go down the street they see more and more taco trucks and party shops with frilly chairs up in the front with the word QUINCEANERA printed in bold face. Good old Americans no longer have to buy a lawn mower and mow their lawns themselves because they can just call up a guy named Juan and ask him to do it for less than minimum. All of our hard earned American dollars are being wasted on “immigration reform” because apparently a visa is “hard” to get. However, there is a solution to this growing problem. Since, President Elect Donald J. Trump will build a wall to keep the rest out, and since all immigrants are illegal rapists, criminals, and drug dealers, instead of granting them visas, we make them learn their lesson and throw them over the wall with a catapult. It’s a sure fire way to make America great again.…
