Now in days, we see majority of people finishing college, but with a huge debt on their hands. Think about it that could be us in a couple of years once we’re done with our education. College students shouldn’t pay for their education because it’s too expensive, leaves them in debt, and stress.
We as students are just coming out of high school, and most of us don’t have a job; nor money saved for college. For us to enroll, we need to show the college staff that we have the money. That students can pay from our own pockets, or prove to them that financial aid is helping us. Is our job to decide how many classes we want, but if we don’t have the money for the classes we just end up taking one class or sometimes none. It’s unfair to have to pay for our classes if all we want to do is get a degree and be successful in life.

For example, Pell grants, loans, and scholarships, these are great ways to get free money to pay for your college, but you must be acceptable. To get Pell grants and loans, you need to apply and wait to see if you’re accepted. Meanwhile your waiting the people in charge, the ones that gives you the yes or no, are checking if you are qualify, and see if you need the help. Sometimes they don’t cover your whole tuition and you must pay it out from your own pocket. Not everyone can get a full ride of scholarship. According to O’Shaughnessy,” less than 20,000 students a year receive a completely free ride to college. Among full-time college students enrolled at four-year colleges, just .3% received enough grants and scholarships to cover the full cost of college.” As you can see, we have help from the government, but not everyone can get accepted. Making the college free is a great way to help the students with their health and finance status. It would be a good investment for the government because they would see more people
